A form of reishi (Ganoderma) that grows in long, branching antler-like shapes rather than the familiar flat conk. Very hard and woody, so it is used to make teas and infusions rather than eaten.
How to Use
Break into pieces and simmer in water for an hour or more, then strain and drink. The flavor is distinctly bitter and herbal — commonly softened with honey, dried jujube, or ginger. Can also be added to a simmering stock as an herbal element and removed before serving.
